Five Oaks feature several parks, recreational facilities, the Five Oaks middle school, and residential neighborhoods. It’s been considered as the best place to live in Beaverton being close to the freeway, local parks, and great schools.

Five Oaks has partnered with Triple Creek neighborhood to host cleanups and plantings for decades. In 2018, the neighborhood won first place in the Neighborhoods USA Beautification contest for the work on the Autumn Ridge Park and Willow Creek Greenway. The neighborhood community coalition meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7 PM and offer several volunteer opportunities throughout the community.  The NAC or the Five Oaks Triple Creek Neighborhood Association Committee, shares ideas and issues to improve the neighborhood and anyone that lives or owns property even a business or represents a nonprofit organization within the neighborhood and be a member. It is designed for community news, upkeep, and management as well as offering opportunities to meet with city officials on various issues.

Five Oaks is home to about 21,000 residents so there are a variety of home styles and residential neighborhoods to choose from.

It includes a 50 m swimming pool, 15 tennis courts, 5 multipurpose fields for soccer, lacrosse, and football, 5 softball fields, 2 baseball fields, a roller hockey rink, 2 skate parks, 4 outdoor and 6 indoor basketball courts, 2 cover play areas and playgrounds and a 10-acre natural area with several miles of walking trails. It features a fantastic aquatic center and the Babette Hornstein tennis center. The aquatic center is open for lap swim, fitness classes and recreation. The tennis center is open Monday through Friday from 9 AM until 9 PM and on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 AM until 5 PM and court reservations are recommended.

Other Amenities in Five Oaks

Five Oaks is also a great place for local services and amenities. Across from the rec center is the Fred Meyer Center with the grocery store, gas, take-out, a Starbucks, McDonald’s, IHOP, bakery, banks, and a Les Schwab tire center.

Down the center of the Five Oaks neighborhood is the Waterhouse Powerline Park. It literally runs about 10 blocks north and south and about five blocks east and west from NW. 158th Ave. to NW. 167th Ave. There are multiple trails, individual parks, the Waterhouse Lake, and the trail system connects to the Cedar Mill Creek trail, Oak Trail, and Old Wagon Trail in the Tualatin Hills Nature Park.

To the north end of Five Oaks is another service and amenity center that borders Highway 26 running east and west into downtown Portland. Along NW. Cornell Rd., you’ll find other restaurants, the Goodwill, CrossFit, convenience stores, the Golden Valley Brewery, and other amenities.

The average home price in Five Oaks is about $400,000 and residents are split about 50-50 from renting and owning. The median rent is about $1500 and again, there are homes spread throughout the neighborhoods along the trail system, the park, apartments close to the highway and other shopping centers as well as newer construction homes in a few developing subdivisions. However, most of the homes in Five Oaks have already been built out within the last 20 to 40 years. The majority of homes are priced from $300,000-$700,000.
