The International School of Beaverton, the School of Science & Technology and Southridge high school are the three main high schools for Neighbors Southwest.

As with a lot of Beaverton neighborhoods, Neighbors Southwest is part of their own neighborhood Association. The Association meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 7 PM and are typically held virtually. Their current project is supporting children in the foster care system by providing snacks and activity bags to distribute to children as they await appointments at the DHS office. Many residents host a food drive in support of the Oregon Food Bank and other activities including a helicopter egg drop during Easter, partnership with the parent and teacher club from Mountainside High school for community open houses, and concerts in the park.
