Sexton Mountain Schools

The elementary school receives 9 of 10 by great schools.org and offers a ton of great reviews.

"Both our kids have gone to this school & overall have had a great experience. We’ve had several teachers support my children thru extracurricular events too. That’s a very special teacher who takes time out of their schedule to support their students beyond school hours. Academically, they’re on par with public education standards. This year has been challenging w Covid but Mrs. Demmitt has been an amazing teacher & excelled through all the challenges with a well diversified curriculum & achieving high ratings from my child. School culture & school community needs improvement though. I would’ve liked to see more mainstreaming with the special Ed students. The general Ed & special Ed rarely have opportunities to creatively engage with each other which is very sad. Also, there are few events to make our school community more cohesive whether it is thru cultural events, social events or with administration actively engaging our school community. Overall, we love Sexton Mtn & thankful for our experiences at this school."
