There are schools, churches, parks, and recreational activities all throughout the neighborhood but it is primarily residential. Most activities, services, and amenities are found just south of the neighborhood along SW. Scholls Ferry Rd. Just minutes from the neighborhood border you'll find our famous McMenamins Greenway Pub, Whole Foods Market, MOD Pizza, Sesame Donuts, Cold Stone Creamery, gas stations, fast food outlets and banks. Downtown Beaverton is about 10 minutes north and downtown Portland is about 15 minutes northeast. There are several routes to get to downtown Portland either on Highway 141, 217, or Highway 26, making South Beaverton a great place to live if you commute to downtown.

The Conestoga Recreation and Aquatic Center offers fantastic pool classes, fitness groups, a weight, and cardio room, a tennis center and a nature center. They have various activities, classes, and programs going on year-round.

Schools in South Beaverton

South Beaverton is still part of the Beaverton School District and most students are assigned to the Hiteon elementary school, the Conestoga middle school, and the Southridge high school. The elementary school receives excellent reviews from parents and students alike.

There are a few condominiums and apartments located in the southwest quadrant of South Beaverton but most homes are single-family, detached properties spread out throughout the neighborhood.
