Arlington Heights is a neighborhood in Northwest Portland bordered by the Northwest Heights, Sylvan Highlands, Hillside, Northwest, and Goose Hollow. It sits just south of W. Burnside Rd. between the Hoyt Arboretum and the Portland Japanese Garden. Commuting to and from Arlington Heights
Arlington Heights is about 15 minutes from downtown Beaverton and about 10 to 15 minutes from downtown Portland on the west side of the river depending on traffic. There are several routes to get you to and from Arlington Heights including north along W. Burnside Street or south along Sunset Highway or Highway 26 heading up north through the park into the community.

Arlington Heights is served by the Portland school system and most students are assigned to the Ainsworth elementary school, the West Sylvan middle school, and the Lincoln high school. Other schools that may serve certain students in zones throughout Arlington Heights include Emerson elementary school, and Le Monde French immersion public charter school. The Lincoln high school and was Sylvan middle school receive excellent scores and reviews by students and parents alike.
